Personal Development

Every day, throughout the world, people decide to become involved in internet marketing. Each person has their own goals, dreams, and reasons for pursuing this path. Of course, each day other people decide to give up and step away from this field. Nearly each time I ask one of my blog readers why this decision was made, the answer deals with “too much competition and not having a chance to make money.” It is unfortunate that some people involved in online marketing believe that competition is their sole reason for not making money online.

There’s no question that when others are marketing the same product it may become difficult to be noticed and to make sales. If the field is saturated, you may begin to believe the competition is hurtful to your chances of success.

However, one very important issue to note is that if your market has competition, it means a lot of money is usually waiting to be make. After all, if there’s no competition, it’s very likely there is no money either. Stop spending time and money looking for the “next big deal” to come along. If you keep doing so, you will certainly affect your chances of actually making money online. In most cases, “the next big thing” or “next big deal” comes along unexpectedly for marketers and seems to fall into their laps. You must be an active, informed marketer in order to realize this and to be able to respond properly.

I have talked with some new marketers who believe they are not making money because too many people are competing against them. It’s time to stop blaming others and the wrong problem. You may not have realized this, but having friends in the marketing industry is a good thing and may be helpful to you. We all have the goal of online success. Have you given thought to sharing resources as you work toward common goals, such as promoting the numerous good products and services available online? A lot of people have told me they are just looking to pay a few bills, take their family on a holiday, and things along this line. Some of the best ways to achieve these types of goals, and even higher levels of success, is by embracing the idea that competition is helpful and necessary. Along with the issue of competition is your ability to work with other people, and to build trust with your customers to the utmost level. Competition makes us stronger in other aspects of our lives, so online marketing must be included in this scenario too.
