Instead of beginning this blog post with theories and lectures, I will just get to the bottom line. Sales are the basis of an online business. I work on the sales process on a daily basis as I proudly present all of the outstanding, cutting edge products and services my company, Best Designed Blogs, offers. You need to get familiar and comfortable with the process in order to have any chance of making a sale.
Yes, I realize that a lot of very intelligent, hard working people are reading this now, which I truly appreciate, and are saying something along the lines of “no kidding” After all, this is common sense to most folks.
However, I have met numerous new marketers who just want to make even a little money but are unable to. There is no question as to their work ethic and intelligence, but all too often they have no concept of sales, nor do they want to learn.
There Is No Shame In Sales
Of course, I am referring to legitimate products and services. It is common for most people to think that selling to people is annoying. Well, please keep in mind that most people are used to it. There are so many messages around us, including radio, television, online and Sunday newspaper advertisements, and billboards, competing for our time and money. We have the ability to sort through all the options and choose which ones interest us. It is important that you accept the fact that as long as you are ethical and are offering a top notch service or product, there is no need to be embarrassed about making a sale.
While I think of it, let’s address the issue of online sales versus traditional sales. Yes, there are some differences, such as not having brick and mortar building, You also do not want to use the approach of a pushy salesman or saleswoman. The difference would be in how the sales are executed. For those working online, you will first need to develop trust with a person before presenting them with your online offer. Don’t get caught up on these differences, and don’t keep over thinking this, because sales are still sales.
Your goal is to get your quality offer in front of a person and show how beneficial the product or service is. Don’t be ashamed. If you’re proud of what you are offering, let other people know about it. You will keep learning, gaining confidence, improving your marketing skills, and will likely learn to enjoy yourself in the process.
